Day 9/20 The Pennine Way 429km - Hawes - 5 Aug 2009
>> Thursday, 20 August 2009
A rest day in Hawes, but I took off with Beck (Australian friend) to Hardraw where the 'Hardraw Force Waterfall' was. Paid 2 pounds to gain access through the Green Dragon Inn to see the fall. A 29m high drop from the cliff. Highest single fall in Great Britain! But, it did not impress me really...
The rest of the day was spent lazing around and walking around the town, and making preparation for a tough day's walk tomorrow. Good luck to myself! Legs were still sore, not fully recovered obviously. But I just had to move on!
